Turquoise waters cascade into travertine pools below a series of spectacular waterfalls deep in the heart of the Grand Canyon.

This is home to the Havasupai Indians (people of the blue-green waters), who have lived here hundreds of years.

We stay 2 nights in the quaint Supai Lodge in the village of Supai about a 30 minute walk from the waterfalls.

Plunging into the crystal clear waters for a refreshing swim is part of our usual afternoon itinerary.

There is ample time to explore Havasu, Fifty Foot and Mooney Falls on the second day, each one having its own special and distinct character.
