Havasu Falls: Camp or Lodge

So, you are getting ready to visit Havasu Falls. The question is do you want to camp at Havasu Falls or stay at the Havasu Falls Lodge. Let’s compare! If you are more concerned about sleeping in a real bed or havnig a shower available, a Havasu Lodge vacation may be for you. But it also results in more hiking and an earlier last visit to Havasu Falls itself. The Havasu Falls Lodge is located in Supai about two miles from the Havasu Falls camp grounds and waterfalls. This means on the first and second day you will hike four extra miles round-trip and save two miles on your last day, though you will not see the Falls on your last day.

If you choose Havasu Falls camping, you will stay right next to the creek and very close to the falls. You will enjoy the night sky as you sleep and nature’s melodies. Of course those sounds include other hikers too. At Discovery Treks we provide you comfortable sleeping pads, bags and pillows in your tent. But you do not get the showers nor protection from the elements if it rains or the weather is cold. Your Discovery Treks guide will take care of setting and breaking camp.

For food, your Discovery Treks guides cooks your dinner and prepares your lunch. If you are staying at the Havasu Falls lodge, you will get a hot breakfast from the cafe. If you are Havasu Falls camping, you will get a hot breakfast prepared by your guide.
