Grand Canyon Explorer

The ultimate hiking, camping, rail riding, flying, and Grand Canyon rafting experience

Trip Description

This Group tour has been cancelled due to the severe flooding that occurred in Havasu Falls in August, 2008.  The Havasu Falls area is closed until Spring, 2009.  We are working to re-schedule the tour - check back soon!

Experience one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World from every angle. The Grand Canyon Explorer trek will show you the canyon’s many faces as you travel through nearby towns by railway and get a bird’s eye view in a chartered canyon fly-over.

Slumber at a south rim lodge and dream of experiencing up close the famous Grand Canyon’s painted walls on a “below the rim” day hike adventure the next day. Follow that with an exciting smooth water raft tour on the Colorado River.

After a fun dinner and restful night in Flagstaff, continue your adventure by visiting the winding blue-green turquoise creek and majestic waterfalls while camping for a few days at Havasu Falls.

Don’t worry about a thing your guides will set camp and cook while you play in the water and take the perfect canyon pictures. Discovery Treks arranges all the details for you. And don’t worry, the Sun Devil football team has an open weekend during this trip, so you won’t miss a game.

Don’t delay our next ASU Alumni trip isn’t until Spring-2009, Exact Dates TBA
