Our 3 day Indian Garden backpack is a great introduction to Grand Canyon backpacking. On day one we will walk 4.5 miles down the famous Bright Angel Trail to Indian Garden Campground, an ancient Havasupai Indian farming plot. After setting up camp under the shady cottonwood trees, we will take a small side hike to Plateau Point for awesome 360 views and an amazing sunset! On day two we will continue on the Bright Angel Trail to Pipe Creek Beach and the mighty Colorado River! Following the creek the entire way, you will enjoy this hike without the weight of a big backpack, as we will return to Indian Garden for our second night's camping. On day three we walk 4.5 miles back up to the South Rim. This tour is great for beginners, families, and people looking to enjoy the canyon without having to carry a big pack the entire time.
Our Indian Garden hike is an all inclusive trip. We provide all permits and fees, a certified wilderness guide, all gear, all meals and snacks, and transportation to and from designated pick up locations.
*As this is one of the most popular hikes in Grand Canyon National Park, permits can be challenging to obtain. Permits open 5 months in advance. To ensure a better chance of receiving the exact itinerary and days you want, we recommend booking at least 6 months in advance for this trek.
